Collection: About Toku

"Toku" means
"Meticulous" "Sincere and thorough"
It is a word that means "generous care".

The owner of Kagura Kagura Kobo Hashimoto, a workshop that restores cultural assets, is fascinated by leather and uses two of his own traditional techniques, lacquering and foil stamping, to create leather products that he creates with great care.

We have started selling products that combine "leather," "lacquer," and "leaf" so that people can feel closer to lacquer.

The leather products in our workshop retain the original texture of the leather,
Colored lacquer is used as a dye and applied to the leather, and then gold or platinum leaf is stamped on it to finish it off.
